Onstream Media Expands Webcasting Services for U.S. Government Agencies

--U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission and U.S. Department of Interior, Mineral Management Service Increase Awareness & Transparency--

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – April 14, 2009 – Onstream Media Corporation ( OTC: ONSM), a leading online service provider of live and on-demand Webcasting Services, today announced two new government agency agreements totaling $250,000, with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (USNRC) and the U.S. Department of Interior, Minerals Management Service (US DOI MMS). The agencies will be utilizing the company's robust set of webcasting and associated services to increase the awareness and transparency of their respective efforts.

Onstream began providing the U.S. Nuclear Commission with webcasting services in March of 2008, as previously announced. After successfully completing six events for the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board Panel (ASLBP), the USNRC has exercised an option to purchase additional webcasting services from Onstream Media. In addition to this extension, The USNRC has additional options to extend the agreement for four additional one-year terms. Separately, the US Department of Interior will begin using Onstream's services for the first time beginning in April.

Government agencies presently face an unrealized requirement by not having the resources, support tools and infrastructure to properly address the communications needs of their stakeholders. Government agencies are turning to Onstream Media to provide video and audio broadcasts online, and to ensure that public hearings, training material and other specialized events and information are available to reach their constituents, industry partners and employees.

"One of the strategic goals and objectives of the USNRC is to increase public awareness in the ongoing push for greater transparency and fairness of the regulatory process. This is accomplished through our webcasting platform that provides live and archived video broadcasts of the proceedings. This assures that stakeholders and the public are actively informed of the adjudicatory hearing process - efficiently, conveniently, and on demand via Internet access," stated Randy Selman, President & Chief Executive Officer, Onstream Media.

Mr. Selman continued, "In an economy where the cost of travel will likely prohibit some interested parties from attending the USNRC Atomic Safety and Licensing Board Panel sessions, our technology provides an excellent means for the public to be kept informed about these hearings by streaming and archiving the proceedings, which are made available to a global audience."

Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar will host four regional public meetings in April to discuss the future of offshore energy development on the nation's Outer Continental Shelf (OCS). The events will be webcast to a global audience via Onstream Media, a subcontractor to Ecosystem Management & Associates, Inc. (EM&A). The sessions will also be devoted to generating feedback from public and private interests on the best approaches to developing a comprehensive offshore energy plan that includes both the development of traditional and renewable sources of energy on the OCS.

"The purpose of these meetings is to have a free and open exchange of ideas and principles with the American people to uncover and cultivate the best information possible as it relates to the creation of an offshore energy plan," Secretary Salazar recently stated.

"We are pleased to have been selected by EM&A and approved by the US DOI MMS staff for these critical meetings to utilize our services and technology platform, bringing all interested participants worldwide into the meeting without physically requiring them to be there," stated Randy Selman.

Onstream Media is now providing its webcasting and Digital Media Services Platform (DMSP) services to over 30 federal government and state agencies.
