Onstream Media Manages Video Content and Facilitates User-Generated Content for StudioDell Website

(Nasdaq:DELL), has selected the online video solutions, offered by Onstream Media’s Web 2.0 Digital Media Services Platform (DMSP), for StudioDellâ, an online service designed to further enhance Dell’s efforts to communicate with its customers through new and exciting digital communication channels.
The recently announced StudioDell service at http://www.studiodell.com offers Dell customers a rich online video experience, encompassing both online streaming and video/audio podcasts, with videos organized by channel in order to enable users to quickly and effectively locate content of interest. Prospective customers and existing users alike have access to streaming media on a variety of subject matters, including product features, user support information and how-to information.
Onstream Media’s DMSP provides StudioDell with a streamlined interface to submit video content and associated metadata for hosting by Onstream. Onstream is providing video indexing and metadata ingest services and makes the resulting video searchable online. In addition, Onstream Media is also providing an online interface to support user-generated content enabling StudioDell’s end users to submit content in a range of supported video formats, which are automatically transcoded into streaming Flash Video. The DMSP also provides online administration tools that enable Dell content managers to preview and append metadata, as well as an XML API, to obtain digital asset information by channel for integration with the StudioDell site.
